Street Food Fest arrives in Catania. From May 17 to 20 the best of street food from Sicily, Italy and the world meets in the elephant town and party in Via Etnea.

More than 200 thousand people are coming for the catanese edition of the kermesse, where protagonists will be the greedy proposals of over 30 street fooders from all over the world.

Four days dedicated to the best expressions of popular cuisine, from 17 to 20 May, the elephant city will become the queen of walking food. The gastronomic village will wind along the central Via Etnea, transforming the good living room of the city into a joyous open-air kitchen. The gastronomic village that will color Via Etnea will be rich and varied: from panelle, to horsemeat, from hot dogs to fried fish, and then even Thai cuisine, Mexican burritos, Bolognese crescentine and those who have more or so until you get to desserts where the protagonists will be cannoli and granita of the best Sicilian tradition.

There are also many cultural events with debates, conferences and cooking shows scheduled within "Spazio Gourmet", the tasty review curated by Andrea Graziano, founder of Fud Bottega Sicula, and Francesco Lelio, technical director of the Festival. Here together with industry experts, chefs and restaurateurs it will be possible to discover stories, stories, traditions and hidden identities of street food. A special covered structure will enliven Piazza Stesicoro and will host passionate and curious who, comfortably seated, can attend interesting meetings and taste the most delicious dishes of the event.

But Street Food Fest is also music and show, within a busy schedule of appointments that includes live music, dance performances, cabaret, djset, traveling animation will be many artists who will perform on the two stages set up along Via Etnea. In addition, chefs and restaurateurs from Sicily, Italy and the world will compete to present their best street cuisine proposals and compete for the Street Food Fest award, which a strict jury will present to the winner on Sunday 20 May. The event is organized by the company AdMeridiem under the patronage of the municipality of Catania, the University of Catania and circumetnea railway.
